Amie Quinn

Amie has been coaching youth sports since she was a youth. She started out helping her mom coach gymnastics and swimming when she was 13 and has never looked back. She has taught all ages from 6 week old babies in their first swim lesson to a master’s soccer team. Coaching youth sports grew as a passion after her son joined SelecTri in 2015 and she saw the team needed a few extra coaches. She has been triathlon coach ever since and is thrilled to be the Owner of SelecTri as of 2019.

Her philosophy regarding youth sports is that the athlete should take a lead in their sporting career with positive support from coaches and parents. From recreation to competitive levels, kids should be encouraged to do their best and have some fun. No matter the level, Amie hopes triathlon will foster a love of fitness and sport for kids well into their adult lives.

Amie is also an active triathlete. She has participated in countless triathlons, running events, swim races and even a few bike races. Her favorite race distance is the Half (half marathon and half iron distance triathlon) but she has found the most success as an athlete in the sprint distance. She loves to race and her primary focus is just improving which she hopes to pass onto future generations of triathletes.

Her coaching qualifications include: USAT Level I Triathlon Coach, USAT Youth and Junior Coach, Ironman Certified Coach, USA Cycling Level 3 and RRCA Run Coach.
